The tune of Hey Little Girl is bright with a medium fast pace. It has a strong beat that jumps out of the speakers, grabs your feet and makes them want to dance. What more could you want?
Recorded in the mid-sixties, you don't hear it often at all these days. That's partially because the band that made it were a one-hit wonder. It's also because being spoken instead of sung, it would be very difficult to put across well in a live performance, hence it's not used by bands and entertainers.
