Holiday Road by Lindsey Buckingham really rocks.
Okay, we're here to Rock n Roll Dance, not to pack up the family wagon complete with dead auntie on the roof and head down the Holiday Road with the Griswalds. Lindsey Buckingham's hit song from National Lampoon's Vacation movie can certainly help us with that, but only if you're ready for a fast one!
This early 1980s song has a Rock n Roll beat at full pace. It clips along at a Chevvy chase speed. Fortunately, it's a relatively short song, but it's long, long, long on energy requirement. This is rockabilly pace, so if you're entertaining that style of dancers they'll be used to it. For regular Rock n Roll dancers, you throw this into the set when they look as if they're falling asleep. It's guaranteed to wake them up - or cause them to sit down!
